Nutmeg decorticating mechanism is used to remove the outer shell of nutmeg which is developed by a farmer Mr. Sachidanadan V. R. The conventional system is manual and done by hitting it with hand using other tools or by flinging it on hard surface. All such processes are very tedious, time consuming and labourintensive.Core team incorperated an inclined sieve in the machine for effective separation of the decorticated seeds from the broken shells which reduced time and labour by 32%.
